Bear Jr Raises the Bar Again on Powerful and Brooding New Single Emotion Ocean

It was only last month that I was singing the praises of Bear Jr, an independent artist based in Philadelphia. He'd recently unleashed his debut album, Every Little Thing, and the thirteen-track offering was one I proudly labelled "a true rock and roll extravaganza."

Over the weeks, I've found myself constantly returning to Every Little Thing, and wondered whether I'd have to wait a while to hear some new Bear Jr material. Thankfully, the musician clearly knew better than to leave me hanging. So, with all that said, please welcome Emotion Ocean, Bear's brand new single.

A pensive and brooding piece of alternative rock, Bear's latest release is a slow-burning and emotionally weighty tune. It's filled with tension and restraint, and gradually tightens its grip on the listener before allowing flashes of raw intensity to break through.

If, for some reason, there were any lingering doubts about Bear Jr’s credentials, Emotion Ocean completely obliterates them. Doubling as a masterclass in both vocal prowess and electrifying guitar work, it's a three-minute showcase of pure rock audacity.

Continuing to raise the bar with each new offering, Bear Jr is an artist you don't want to sleep on. And, I get the feeling, the best is still in his locker!
