Brian Noyes Teases Forthcoming Album With Dreamy, Psych-Tinged Single Tarot

Gearing up for the release of his third solo album, Seattle-based singer/songwriter Brian Noyes recently dropped Tarot, a dreamy and hazy little tune that also serves as the record's first single. Laced with nostalgia and a reflective warmth, Tarot wastes no time sucking you into its lush and tranquil soundscape. Psych-tinged and at times reminiscent of Alex Turner's solo work, Brian's latest offering relies on raw, heartfelt songwriting - prioritising mood and authenticity over excess and cheap tricks.

As a member of the psych-pop group Tomten and a touring keyboardist for San Francisco outfit Papercuts, Brian brings years of sonic experience to the table. And I think that's why, though not his first outing solo-wise, there’s a real sense of confidence and assurance running through the veins of Tarot.

Inspired by the likes of Nick Drake, John Cale, The Clientele, and Bridget St John, Brian Noyes is an artist who demonstrates not just influence, but understanding. By that, I mean he’s not simply drawing on inspiration, but filtering it through his own lens.

The Ringing World, Brian's forthcoming album, will be released on August 28th. It's a record I can't wait to hear, and I get the feeling it's going to be something rather special!
