death of me Finds The project Flexing Their Firepower and Their Freedom

One can rarely say they were there from the very beginning. That they heard a debut release, fell in love with it, and have been firm followers of its creator/s ever since. Such is the case, however, with The project and me.

A California-based supergroup headed up by James Davis (Shameless), best days was the outfit's debut release, and it crashed into my world at the end of 2023. 1.2 million Spotify streams later, and with countless more singles under their belt, it's been a thrilling ride watching the band's sonic evolution.

death of me is The project's latest offering, and once again, it sees James teaming up with a hugely gifted bunch of musicians. From Scott Shiflett (Face to Face) to Kevin Baldes (Lit), Davis and Co. set about concocting an explosive piece of sun-soaked rock 'n' roll genius. Through gritty riffs, thunderous drumming, and Dennis Hill's searing vocal performance, death of me swaggers in confidently and doesn't let up until it's ready to do so.

Speaking about The project, James says that it "isn't necessarily a band - it's a living, breathing collaboration. Every track will feel different. That's the point". We love it!
