Fringe Frontier Show Their Signature Crunch on New Single City of Dreams
I've had the privilege of reviewing the last three Fringe Frontier singles, and what I've discovered is an outfit that crafts authentic, crunchy, and seriously infectious rock tunes. Hailing from Florida, I recently labelled the act as "one of rock’s best-kept secrets," but I get the feeling the cat’s about to be let out of the bag. And for good reason!
City of Dreams is Fringe Frontier's brand new offering, and the ideal first glimpse of their upcoming second album, Criminal Hour. Described by the band as "evoking the lost chances of time passing," it's a rich and groovy track that moves at its own pace. That trademark Fringe Frontier mix of raw energy and delicate introspection is, once again, front and center, as gritty hooks and heartfelt melodies collide in a perfectly balanced rock anthem.
"Years ago, I walked this chewed-up cement, busked for fives beside a steaming subway vent." The words spill out with lived-in honesty. "Not quite the stage of Max's Kansas City, I was all hangovers and hope staring at those desperate marquees."
Providing further proof, if any was needed, of just how talented a bunch they are, City of Dreams leaves no doubt that Fringe Frontier are ready to move up a level. They consistently deliver the goods, and Criminal Hour is a record that promises to make it unmistakably clear: Fringe Frontier have arrived!
