Hit Pause and Let the World Melt Away: Steam Lizard Returns with Sloth mode on

Steam Lizard is the solo electronic project of Lancashire-based songwriter and producer Steve Bonham, and he's just delivered his thirty-seventh single of 2025! No, that's not a typo! Sweetly titled Sloth mode on (Slothing it song), the new Steam Lizard offering is a playful and more laidback piece of music compared to Steve's previous releases. A lighthearted reminder to slow down and recharge, it's a warm, feel-good anthem that breezes in with grace and charm.

With a cheeky simplicity and an infectious groove, Sloth mode on is one of those tunes that instantly sticks in your head. And, thanks to its universal and timely message, it lands with an easy resonance that basically demands repeat listens.

Before Steam Lizard, Steve's sound caught the attention of BBC Radio 1 and was featured on Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems. He then co-founded the successful DJ and production duo Essbenci, and performed at iconic venues like Gatecrasher and O2 Academy Leeds.

An artist who's already worn his fair share of musical hats, Steve Bonham is now marking a new chapter in his sonic adventure. Independently releasing all of his Steam Lizard material, he's in full control of what he's putting out, and the result is pure mellifluous gold.
