HZPROD Builds on Debut Single With Uncompromising New Track Dreamer

Towards the end of last year, independent hip-hop producer HZPROD delivered his debut single, War Within. The track now sits on just under 100,000 plays on Spotify - a number that few emerging artists can often only dream of. What it showed was that HZPROD, the alias of Bosnian-born, New York-based Damir Hadzalic, clearly struck a chord with listeners.

Following up on such a successful first release was never going to be easy. Let's be honest, the pressure's huge. That said, Dreamer meets the moment head-on.

A track featuring Marco Vernice and Siggas, Damir's latest offering serves as the second instalment of his War Torn campaign. Concocting a dark, cinematic, boom-bap-inspired beat, HZPROD creates the perfect backdrop for heavy, hard-hitting verses.

Stories of war, exploitation, inequality, and social justice shape the song's emotional core. More a call to action than just another track, Dreamer cuts through the noise and demands to be heard. For all the heaviness it confronts, however, there's still an optimistic resilience running through its veins; an acknowledgement of pain, yet also the belief in a better future.

Uncompromising, both sonically and thematically, Dreamer sets the stage for the next phase of HZPROD's War Torn series. And already, it's a project that feels bigger than just its music.
