Josh Jensen Takes an Electronic and Leftfield Turn on New EP Eclectic Mementos

Oh, Josh Jensen, how we love thee! The Seattle-based singer/songwriter and guitarist is a longtime favourite of ours, but this year, he's taken his sonic game to the next level. This Is Where We Landed is destined for a spot on our albums of the year list, and now Josh has returned with Eclectic Mementos, a hugely unexpected and leftfield EP that proves he’s full of surprises and unafraid to take risks. Are you ready to explore?

Influenced by the solo work of Thom Yorke, Josh's new release sees him venturing into an electronic and highly inventive sonic direction. The EP's opener, Tier 7, guides listeners through a mellow coming-of-age story, before its successor, Welcome to the Parasocial Adventure, immerses one completely in Jensen's nuanced and mesmerising layers of sound.

H34V3N is a reflective piece, and asks whether looking back with knowledge could rewrite the story of who we are, while a day in the life if it was written in 2025 delivers the perfect outro to a textured, hypnotic, and profoundly forward-thinking record.

As unique a listening experience as they come, Eclectic Mementos reminds us why we fell in love with Josh Jensen's work in the first place!
