JT Catalano Delivers a Haunting Fusion of Americana and Hip-Hop on New Track Felon Angels

Felon Angels is unquestionably one of the most intriguing tunes I've come across all year. Courtesy of JT Catalano, a New York-based singer/songwriter, rapper, and producer, it's a bold and fearless piece of music that proudly makes no attempt to fit in. A haunting fusion of country, Americana, and hip-hop, JT's latest release immediately brought some of Yelawolf's work to my mind - the genre-blurring brilliance and unmistakable individuality.

A story that took the artist twenty years to tell, Felon Angels is a tale of addiction, punishment, mercy, and humanity. After being wrongly identified in a gang-assault case, JT was held on $100,000 bail and faced seven years in jail. While in county, he met a former champion boxer - a man who became his guardian…his felon angel.

A dark, bass-heavy, cinematic soundscape, Felon Angels unfolds with intensity and purpose. Every word lands with conviction and truth, giving the song an emotional depth that's simply impossible to ignore.

Having recently entered Groover’s United States Singer/Songwriter/Folk Chart at No. 23, JT's new single is a superb addition to an ever-growing discography that I cannot wait to explore fully! And here's to many more going forward!
