Layered, Warped, and Addictive - Hit Yo Phone Is William J. Sullivan at His Best

You may recall me waxing lyrical about Los Angeles-based producer and mixer William J. Sullivan a few weeks ago. He'd just delivered a blistering single called Good Fences Make Good Neighbors with Zilla Rocca, and I was sold on his sound immediately.

Preparing for the release of his debut album, Just Call Me Bill, William recently dropped another banging tune called Hit Yo Phone. This time teaming up with dynamic vocalist and songwriter LUCI, the artist continues to show just how versatile and addictive his production style can be.

Bold, hypnotic, and artfully gritty, Sullivan's latest track is a heady piece of music. Through pulsing basslines, warped layers, and intricate synth work, Hit Yo Phone plunges listeners into a swirling fusion of psychedelic textures and streetwise edge.

Crediting William for pulling out their most deeply hidden truths, LUCI says the song "touches on the tumult in the mind that can occur with obsession and expectation in the dating game."

Going on to mention that Sully "has a way of composing the perfect couch and blanket for you to wrap up and melt into," it’s clear this collaboration runs deeper than just beats and vocals.
