Little Things Is a Dreamy and Immersive Ode to Love from LunaRover
Kevin Rieth and Ben Pelletier are the brains behind LunaRover, a dreamy and psychedelic project that began with the two artists trading tracks and ideas online. Last year, the duo released a tune called Fountains that I fell in love with, and proudly labelled a "wonderfully chewy and hypnotic" piece of music. Now, the pair returns with Little Things, their latest hazy, experimental, and celestial offering. Let's dive in, shall we?
Glitchy synths begin proceedings in an almost unnerving way, but it's not long before you find yourself sinking into yet another warm and sunny slice of nostalgia. With its steady beat and ethereal vocals, it carries that same radiant, sunlit DNA that made its predecessor so addictive. Both reflective and forward-thinking, it reinforces LunaRover's gift for crafting hugely immersive and beautifully original music.
Mixed by Adrian Olsen and mastered by Dave McNair, Little Things is an ode to the small details that make love blossom. "It's about learning to love all of the little things about a romantic partner as the relationship grows," says Kevin.
Influenced by the textures of St. Vincent and Beck, with a little Pink Floyd and Electric Light Orchestra thrown in for good measure, Little Things is one more stunner for LunaRover to add to their growing discography!
