Straightforward and Thrilling: Rock and Roll by The Sunmills Delivers Pure, Gritty Passion
Rock and Roll is the gloriously zesty and energetic new single from an up-and-coming Utah-based outfit known as The Sunmills. Preparing for the release of their debut album, The Art of Burning Bridges, The Sunmills have unleashed three new singles: Take Me Away, Not Going Home, and now, the aforementioned banger, Rock and Roll.
Wonderfully showcasing the act's commitment to reviving the gritty and anthemic sounds of 90s alternative rock, Rock and Roll is a refreshingly honest piece of music. There are no bells and whistles here, folks; just straight-up raw and unfiltered passion. It's uncontaminated rock and roll at its finest, and that's something I simply refuse to pass over.
Described as "a chaotic love letter to failed relationships, ghosted girlfriends, and the kind of self-sabotage that somehow still looks cool when you're on stage," The Sunmills' forthcoming record is one I can't wait to hear. Take Me Away and Not Going Home are also quickly becoming staples in my playlist, and there's just a certain charm to their sound I'm finding irresistible.
Due out on the 9th of May, The Art of Burning Bridges is an album I get the feeling you're not going to want to miss.
