Tighaline Confirms Lazywall’s Status as Global Rock Trailblazers

Lazywall first burst onto my sonic radar over two years ago, but I can still distinctly remember hearing their debut single, Kan Hez Yeddi, for the first time. A rocky, grungy, and powerful piece of music, the Arabic-language tune blew me away, and I've been a firm fan of the Casaoui rockers ever since.

Tighaline is the outfit's brand new EP, and it's a four-track offering that, once again, captures the grit and grandeur of Lazywall's signature sound. Fiery, anthemic, and filled with passion, all language barriers are rendered irrelevant by the sheer force of energy and soul poured into every song.

Madaher opens the EP in textured, blazing fashion, expertly paving the way for Invincible, a slow-burner that pulls the listener in before unleashing a cathartic eruption of primal instrumentation and soaring vocals.

Reality is a crunchy and infectious hard rock gem that just hits all the right notes, with Loumni following as a bold and inventive closer that pushes the boundaries of Lazywall's sound.

By delivering what is, essentially, the perfect EP, the band have cemented their status as one of the most exciting and boundary-pushing rock acts to come out of North Africa.
