A Gentle Reminder That All Is Well: Discover Prem Byrne’s Moving New Single Orion

Earlier this year, a buddy of mine turned me on to a Californian singer/songwriter named Prem Byrne. Love Is Blind and Three Words, in particular, were the tracks that piqued my interest, and it wasn't long before I was exploring his entire discography. What I discovered was a seriously talented artist whose soulful vocals and heartfelt songwriting carried real emotional depth. So, with that said, I am now honoured to introduce you to Prem's latest single, Orion.

Treading the line between pop, rock, folk, and world music, the tune has a deeply earthy and organic feel. It's warm and lived in, and the inclusion of a bansuri just adds a wonderfully calming quality to proceedings.

A lush and highly moving piece of music, Orion serves as an encouraging message about trust. "The words of this song have drifted into my mind over the months, reminding me that at the deepest level, all is well," says Prem.

Now, I was about to point out that I was picking up some pretty strong Peter Gabriel vibes in Orion, only to realise Prem already lists him among his influences. Either way, I feel modestly vindicated. Add the likes of Cat Stevens, Tracy Chapman, and Sting as further inspirations, and what you get is a true musician whose sound I am completely in love with!
