A Long Wait Pays Off as By Million Wires Reimagine Themselves on New EP Not Over

In 2012, a Polish outfit came along and delivered a spacious and ethereal rock album called Letters to the Absent. The band in question were By Million Wires, and the record left an impression on listeners who keenly awaited a follow-up. Little did they know, they'd have to wait fourteen years.

Released at the beginning of this month, Not Over is By Million Wires' new EP - a five-track offering that showcases the outfit's refined and reimagined sound. With guitarist Mirek Skrok stepping into the role of frontman, a new emotional weight has been added to the group's sonic palette - and it works an absolute treat!

Over begins proceedings and slowly pulls you beneath its surface. Hypnotising guitar work, deep, rich bass lines, earthy drums, Mirek's haunting vocals…it's got everything!

Glass Houses then steps up to the plate and takes a softer approach compared to its predecessor. That is, until its sparkling and infectious chorus comes into play.

I Know Better is, so far, the tune that’s really getting under my skin. Finding myself constantly returning to it, yet unable (or perhaps unwilling) to put a label on it, it's the sort of song that rewards anyone who truly listens.

Lost or Won and Runaway complete Not Over, and they are yours to explore unaided. All I'll say is that this EP is rather special.
