A Slow-Burn Thriller in Sound - Discover Scott Swain's New Single There’s Something in the Wind

An artist who's drawn to themes of tension, isolation, and resilience, Scott Swain is an intriguing London-based multi-instrumentalist with an even more fascinating sound. Describing his work as "sitting somewhere between songwriting and storytelling," Scott mentions that each of his tracks is a short film in sound. So, with that in mind, allow me to introduce you to his dark and cinematic new single, There's Something in the Wind.

Drawing inspiration from the film Misery, based on Stephen King's novel, Scott's latest release is a slow-burning and foreboding piece of music. With a haunting and suspenseful ambience, it keeps the listener on their toes throughout the tune, slowly sucking you in and coaxing you deeper into the musician's shadowy sound.

Cinematic and rich, There's Something in the Wind finds its sonic inspiration from outfits like Queens of the Stone Age, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Radiohead. That said, Scott never leans on imitation. He twists those influences into something unmistakably his own, and that's where his true magic lies.

Marking the beginning of a new chapter in the artist's life, There's Something in the Wind is the first in a series of releases that will reconnect Scott with what first drew him to songwriting: storytelling, mood, and honesty.

I can't wait to hear more!
