d’Z and Bernadette Dengler Turn Up the Feel-Good Funk on Horn-Soaked Single Shout!

Hailing from the Netherlands, Hans-Peter de Zeeuw is a drummer, pianist, and songwriter who goes by the name d'Z. His sonic career began eight years ago, and he's been lucky to work with some of the finest musicians and artists around.

This brings me to Bernadette Dengler, d'Z's sidekick and lyrical extraordinaire. With a knack for concocting effortlessly cool melodies, Bernadette and Hans-Peter have formed a formidable partnership, and the latest spark of that collaboration is a ridiculously infectious tune called Shout!

Joined by guitarist extraordinaire, Chris Korzen, d'Z and Bernadette set about crafting an upbeat and highly joyous piece of music. A vibrant ensemble number shaped around a lively four-piece horn section, Shout! is one of the most mood-boosting tracks I've heard all year. And, to be honest, it was a song I needed today.

Taking inspiration from artists and acts like Jacob Collier, Gino Vannelli, Incognito, and The Brand New Heavies, the trio embraces the world of playful and inventive harmonies. Rhythmically tight, melodically rich, and utterly impossible to sit still through.

"I love the energy we created together," says Hans-Peter about the collaboration. "It's a groovy feel-good song that hopefully energizes while listening to it." Oh, it does that and so much more!
