Acoustic Guitar and Hypnotic Percussion Shape Joseph Turner & The Dudes of Hazard's New Tune The Shadow Remains

Joseph Turner & The Dudes of Hazard is a project helmed by - you guessed it - Joseph Turner! Featuring a rotating cast of collaborators and kindred spirits based in the Netherlands, the newly formed outfit has seen real success with their first two singles: A New Moon, and a tune I had the pleasure of recently reviewing called Travelin' Heart

Now, the group returns with The Shadow Remains, a track that reveals a darker, more hypnotic side to Joseph Turner & The Dudes of Hazard's sound. Let's dive in!

Acoustic guitar riffs, layered percussion, and mantra-like vocals lead the way on the act's latest offering. A mesmeric pulse runs through The Shadow Remains' core and drives the song from start to finish, as Joseph sends out a message to anyone who has ever felt like a prisoner in their own mind.

"The Shadow Remains was written while looking back on a period of my life when I spent so long in survival mode that I became afraid of the fear itself," reveals the tune's creator. "I wanted the music to feel the same way." Mission accomplished!

Inventive, unique, and utterly intoxicating, The Shadow Remains proves that this project is built on mood, meaning, and fearless exploration. It's a truly genius piece of music, and I can't wait to hear what comes next!
