Alex Riddle Serves Up Raw Emotion and Guitar Mastery on New Single Evelyn

Nearly ten years ago, Houston-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alex Riddle released his debut EP Happy Daggers. Then…silence. Why? Perhaps we'll never know. What's more important, however, is that he's finally made his comeback!

GRACE - ACT ONE is the artist's latest offering. A four-track EP described as his most ambitious project to date, it's a compact return - and there's one tune that's already fully grabbed hold of me. Introducing Evelyn.

As the EPs scene setter, Evelyn shoulders the responsibility of setting the tone - and it does so with aplomb. A slow-burning anthem of heartbreak and obsession, the guitar-driven track is richly layered and pieced together.

Working alongside some of the world's best sound specialists, Alex concocts a song with the perfect blend of fragility and arena-readiness. As he so fittingly mentions, "Think Oasis meets Jeff Buckley - a bit of modern nostalgia."

Raw emotion, huge hooks, and genuine guitar playing are, sadly, becoming endangered in our AI-saturated world. So, when a tune like Evelyn comes along, it makes you truly appreciate the difference between something created and something generated.

I highly recommend Alex's new EP in its entirety, and once Evelyn has gotten the ball rolling, it's almost impossible to resist hearing what he’s lined up to follow.
