Amelia Louise’s Heartsville Hits Hard With Fearless Country Swagger

Sending us into the weekend is a twangy, upbeat, boot-stomping little number courtesy of Amelia Louise, a talented young artist hailing from St Albans. Titled Heartsville and serving as the musician's debut single, it's a tune that wastes no time plunging the listener into a sea of gritty and infectious sonic goodness. Hard-hitting, anthemic, and with a confident country swagger, there's a fearless energy coursing through the track's veins - and it's seriously infectious!

Recorded at her home, with her father taking control of the instrumentation and mixing, Heartsville has an organic, homegrown warmth to it. It's authentic stuff - just a daughter and her father making true, pure music that hits right.

Reflecting on the song's purpose, Amelia says that country music has "always been seen as twee and cringey in the likes of the UK." That's why, with Heartsville, she's hoping to show Great Britain that country music can be lively, fun, and even full of attitude.

Inspired by legendary artists like Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley, Amelia is also quick to point out that vocally, Ariana Grande is a huge influence. And, while we're on the topic of vocals, Amelia's performance is truly a revelation. The range, the control, the passion…just superb from start to finish!
