Aphrodite Leaves Confirms Chloe Dunn as a Composer in Full Bloom
I still remember the moment I stumbled across Chloe Dunn’s debut EP, Blossom. Released in September last year, the six-track offering introduced me to the ethereal and utterly beautiful sounds of the French-based multi-instrumentalist and composer. Instantly falling in love with her work, it's been a patient wait to hear from the artist again, but today I can confirm, she is back!
Aphrodite Leaves is Chloe's brand new single, scheduled for release this Friday, the 30th of January. Now, I've been unbelievably fortunate to get a sneak peek at the track, and I can say with confidence: Chloe Dunn is one of the most inventive and exciting new musicians around.
Channelling Greek mythology in a homage to freedom, Aphrodite Leaves is a stirring and sensory reimaging of the story of Aphrodite and the Apple of Discord. Serving as the first single from Chloe's upcoming album, the theatrical piece of music builds carefully, before eventually hitting its electronic crescendo with violins and violas.
Written, performed, and produced entirely by the artist, Aphrodite Leaves is a sonic experience. It showcases a musician whose instinct for bold and dramatic compositions is clearly intuitive. And, in my humble opinion, the sequel to Blossom can't arrive soon enough! Just outstanding stuff!
