appetiteapple Lets the Music Do the Talking on 90s Britpop-Inspired Album Gratitudes

Delivering four albums in a single year is the kind of prolific output that would have made even Frank Zappa proud. I also think it says a lot about a musician's absolute dedication to their art. 

With that in mind, I'd like to introduce you to an artist who keeps the focus firmly on the music. Known only as appetiteapple and based somewhere in Seoul, South Korea, the musician recently unveiled Gratitudes, a genius thirteen-track instrumental offering (bar one vocal track) that I just can't shake!

Crafted entirely by appetiteapple, Gratitudes channels the spirit of 90s Britpop. Its creator has built these richly textured and immersive sonic landscapes for listeners to get completely lost in, and there's something incredibly freeing about having no words getting in the way.

Some of my personal highlights include the record's wonderfully enticing and cinematic opener, Dark Before Dawn, the six-minute odyssey of absorption that is Hello To Strangers, and the gentle beauty of The River.

That said, Gratitudes feels like an album that's been meticulously built and layered, with every element serving a purpose. So, in that regard, I strongly recommend giving the entire LP your full attention from start to finish. It deserves nothing less.
