Ari Joshua and Co. Serve Up Pork Fat - A Greasy, Groove-Heavy Jam Straight from the Soul

I've had the pleasure of covering Ari Joshua's work for nearly two years now. The Seattle-based guitarist, composer, and producer is one of the hardest-working and prolific artists I've ever encountered. And, to be completely honest with you, following his ever-evolving musical output sometimes feels like tending to a garden that's always in bloom.

The thing is, though, there's a world of sonic riches to uncover if you're willing to dig and explore.

Pork Fat is Ari's latest single, and it sees him teaming up with longtime collaborators Skerik (saxophone), Grant Schroff (drums), and Delvon Lamar (keyboards). Described as a "slice of soul-soaked nostalgia," the raw and earthy instrumental was recorded live in one session.

Yup, that's the type of talent we're dealing with here!

Swampy, funky, and complex - but without the ego that often shadows virtuosity, Ari and Co. have delivered a tune that transports listeners to sweaty music clubs and smoky backrooms. Greasy and groove-heavy, Pork Fat is the soundtrack to nights that feel filled with possibilities. It moves organically, as a living, breathing entity, never afraid of exploring the twists and turns ahead.

With undoubtedly more new music on the way, Ari Joshua remains one of those artists whose work I'll simply never tire of hearing!
