Audren Delivers a Burst of Funk and Freedom on New Single We Want Funkey!

Audren is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose last three singles have made me realise: there is too much good music currently flying under the radar and being overlooked. Perhaps that's always been the case, but I don't like it! And maybe that's why I do this…to help deserving songs travel a little further. Anyway, enough of my ramblings, let's get back to Audren!

We Want Funkey! is the musician's brand new single - and another stunning showcase of her artistic versatility. Enlisting the help of legendary funk bassist Federico Malaman (alongside a host of other ridiculously talented musicians), Audren delivers a sunny and seriously dancefloor-ready jam. Infectious, upbeat, and with a distinct rebel flavour, it's a tune that just puts a smile on one's face - and heaven knows we could all use a few more of those right now.

"I love dancing anywhere, in my bedroom, in the street, in the meadows," says Audren, beautifully capturing the free-spirited joy of the song. "Dancing is like smiling; it puts me in a good mood even when the world is bleak and gloomy."
