Bright, Bittersweet, and Real - Discover Till I'm Drunk & Confused by Exzenya

Once you've fallen deep for an artist's work, it often becomes harder to describe just what you love about their sound. Sure, you've mentioned the eclectic nature of their music, its cinematic aura, and its overall emotional pull…but the fact is, some musicians start creating soundscapes that feel too "big" for mere words. Even so, as always, I promise to do my best.

Based in Oregon, independent artist Exzenya has burst onto the scene this year with eight singles. Tunes like V.I.P., Captivity, and Ugly When You Love Me have soundtracked a big part of my year, and today I'm thrilled to share her brand new release with all of you.

Till I'm Drunk & Confused is Exzenya's latest single, and it boldly continues her run of refusing to bow down to a genre label. A bright and upbeat folk pop tune led by a ukulele, the bittersweet confessional dances through the heartbreak of trying to drink away regret. Full of colour and energy, Exzenya says the groove-fuelled composition "is not a sad song, but a real one."

Over a warm and cheery sonic canvas, Exzenya delivers real-life pain and suffering. No autotune, no AI - just a pure, heartfelt piece of music. And, if this is her farewell to 2025, it’s impossible not to be excited for what comes next.
