Dangle by Omnesia is Where Sex, Swagger, and Raw Sonic Chaos Collide
Dangle is the second single of 2025 from a California-based duo known as Omnesia, and it's a raw, gritty piece of music that some have described as "funk metal disco." Recorded in a complete take (aside from the vocals) and with no click track, Dangle has that lived-in feel to it - and also showcases an outfit that prefers acting on instinct. Enlisting Stephen Goodwin, Eric Slick, and Tal Ariel to help bring their vision to life, Omnesia have concocted a hypnotic sonic whirlwind that grabs you from the first note and refuses to let go.
Comprised of Medella Kingston and M2, Omnesia are proud multi-genre enthusiasts. "Every one of our songs sounds completely different from each other," says the pair. "There was no conscious effort on this one to model an artist."
Labelled as a "sex song," Dangle explores a woman's power and control over a man's drooping sexuality. With lines like "I'm on top when I'm underneath you," it's a tune that thrives on cheeky provocation and allure.
A track that will form part of Omnesia's forthcoming seventeen-song album, Dangle requires a few listens to be fully understood and appreciated. I promise you, though, it's so worth the time! Smashing stuff!
