Cinematic Soundscapes and Elite Lyricism Define Black Silver's New EP Void Where Inhibited

My last run-in with Vegas-based rapper Black Silver was just under a year ago, when he and DJ Obi delivered their cruising anthem for the thinkers and the dreamers, It Was Written. As much a philosophical journey inward as a head-nodding ride, it was the tune that set off my sonic journey deep into Black Silver's discography. A notable member of hip-hop outfits The Analog Brothers and Ice (alongside Ice-T), it's the rapper's versatility that truly sets him apart.

Void Where Inhibited is Black Silver's latest release - a seven-track masterpiece of razor-sharp lyricism and thought-provoking hip-hop. With HardMoney handling the production and J Flat overseeing the engineering, the rapper complements his uncompromising bars with a dark, potent, and highly cinematic soundscape. 

W.O.L.F. begins proceedings with an immersive and laidback beat. It's the perfect opener, immediately drawing the listener into the EP's rich sonic landscape before giving way to the hard-hitting and mighty sounds of In A Nutshell.

Fire & Ice returns to the moody and hypnotic aesthetic of W.O.L.F., while its successor, the record's title track, shifts the momentum once again towards a more raw, gritty vibe. 

The EP's final three offerings are creations that I'd like you to explore on your own. All I'll say is this: Void Where Inhibited is unquestionably one of the best collections of hip-hop tunes I've heard in some time!
