Cirque du Sŏnus Sees Antoin Gibson Craft a Theatrical Two-Act Sonic Ritual

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing London-based independent artist Antoin Gibson. Having come across their fearless and boundary-pushing sound, it was amazing to dive deeper into their artistry and also learn more about Circum-Sŏnus, Antoin's label. 

All of that now brings me to Cirque du Sŏnus, a two-act conceptual single, and Antoin's brand new offering. Dark, theatrical, and boldly avant-garde, it's a masterful sonic adventure that pulls you under and doesn’t let go.

The journey opens with Cirque du Sŏnus - Act I: The Chant, a dramatic and eerie beginning to proceedings. It's not long, however, before Antoin plunges the listener into a dense and hypnotic electroclash landscape. It's intense and liberating, and showcases the musicians' continued love for experimentation.

Cirque du Sŏnus - Act II: The Command then steps up to the plate, and once again, you're taken on a wild ride of sonic invention. Each moment is charged with surprise and exhilaration, keeping you on your toes in the best possible way. Theatrical and sinister, it's another absolute stunner.

Described as an ascension and not a continuation, Antoin Gibson's latest release strikes with clarity and force. It's a ritual more than it is just two new songs, and I simply can't wait to hear what they get up to next!
