Cries of Redemption Revisits and Reignites What Lies Beneath, Featuring Martina Questa

Guitarist and songwriter Ed Silva is the brains behind Cries of Redemption, a Georgia-based project that he has been refining and experimenting with for nearly twenty years. His debut offering was a four-track EP titled A Collection Of Songs To Come, a release whose second track, What Lies Beneath, has now been revisited.

Teaming up with Martina Questa, a true force within Argentina’s gothic metal world, Ed pushes the composition to new emotional heights. Martina's operatic prowess lends the tune a haunting grandeur, and when Ed's vocals make their brief yet potent appearance, another layer of dark, unfiltered passion is added to proceedings.

A powerful, cinematic, and seriously compelling piece of music, this latest version of What Lies Beneath plays out like a gripping sonic drama you can't turn away from. It also serves as a reminder that sometimes revisiting and transforming something from our past can be a useful and rewarding experience.

Cut from the same cloth as the "bruised and battered" who find a home in these frequencies, Ed Silva is quick to point out that Cries of Redemption doesn't have fans, but best friends he hasn't yet met. A project for the castaways…the misfits…the outliers…Cries of Redemption is a refuge for those who hear the world a little differently.
