Darksynth at Its Most Intense: Discover You’re Pretty When You Panic by VHS PANTY RIOT

VHS PANTY RIOT is the darksynth project of Nathan Wilde, a Northamptonshire-based artist and producer who, despite the project’s recent inception, has already proven himself to be rather prolific. Since the start of the year, Nathan has released fourteen singles, all while steadily pushing the VHS PANTY RIOT sound beyond its cinematic synthwave roots and into a darker, more aggressive strain of darksynth. 

The most recent of said singles is a tune called You're Pretty When You Panic, a tense, hard-hitting, and seriously immersive piece of music. Combining some pretty hostile synths with a driving rhythm and an 80s-inspired horror theme, Nathan goes about concocting a track that sits somewhere between a terrifying nightmare and an adrenaline rush. It's potent and explosive stuff - gripping the listener tightly straight from the off, and not letting up until the very end.

Forming part of VHS PANTY RIOT's upcoming EP, KISS KISS CUT CUT, You're Pretty When You Panic was mastered by Thibault Chaumont, a producer whose credits include Carpenter Brut and HEALTH. 

Hitting his stride at the perfect time, Nathan Wilde is shaping a sound that feels uniquely his. And, in the process, he's establishing himself as a musician worth keeping a serious eye (and ear) on moving forward!
