Dead End: A Piano-Led Journey into Antoin Gibson’s Emotional Core

Antoin Gibson is a London-based artist and the founder of Circum-Sŏnus. Earlier this year, I had the honour of interviewing the musician and subsequently reviewing their theatrical two-act sonic ritual, Cirque du Sŏnus

From these encounters, I discovered a bold and boundary-pushing artist whose music has since become something of a constant companion to me. And so, without further ado, allow me to introduce you to Antoin's brand new offering, Dead End.

A haunting, piano-led ballad to close out 2025, Dead End is a cinematic triumph. Favouring restraint, space, and fractured phrasing over a traditional pop framing, Antoin's latest release is beautifully fragile and intimate. Free from overproduction, it's a tune that places the focus squarely on performance and feeling - piano and vocals.

Penned during a period of autistic burnout and creative collapse, Dead End is another outstanding example of Antoin Gibson's ability to swim effortlessly between genres and styles. It's also the first time I’ve genuinely recognised the full scope of their vocal craft when left this unguarded: pure, honest, and devastatingly transcendent.

As their most exposed work to date, Dead End teases a possible new chapter in Antoin's sonic journey. Yet, even if it's a one-off, it leaves an indelible mark.
