Dead Skin Project Delivers a Punchy Shot of Dark Theatre on Scarlet Teardrops

"I'm a lifelong Alice Cooper fan," admits the artist behind Dead Skin Project. "Some of my songs are quite dark, but, like Alice's music, they do not always take themselves too seriously."

Hailing from Bishop Auckland in County Durham, Dead Skin Project is the brainchild of a seasoned musician who's been around the scene since 1978. Fatigued, however, of performing cover songs, he's now found an outlet for something far more personal.

Scarlet Teardrops is the artist's latest offering, and it's a hard-hitting single that blends crunching rock, gothic atmospheres, and a little punk defiance into a darkly theatrical cocktail that wears its grit proudly on its sleeve. A brooding and swaggering piece of music, it's a punchy, potent slice of darkness that hits with just the right amount of attitude.

Clocking in at under three minutes, what Scarlet Teardrops lacks in runtime, it more than makes up for with sheer impact. Here for a good time, not a long one, it's a track that delivers its message fast and loud, and then leaves before you're 100% sure what just struck you.

A tune that ages like fine wine with each listen, Scarlet Teardrops is the sound of a musician finally saying exactly what they want to say - and yes, I'm all ears!
