FERDINAND RENNIE Revisits Joy and Warmth on Classic Single Summer, Roses, and Wine

Regulars around these parts will certainly remember FERDINAND RENNIE, the Austrian-born, Scotland-based singer/songwriter and producer. Why, it was only last month that I was waxing lyrical about the artist's new single, Unbelieving Eyes, and his quite incredible vocal ability.

Today, however, we're heading back to 2013, and the musician's sonic love story, Summer, Roses, and Wine. Feeling it was the right time for a re-release because, in his words, "spring is coming, and love is in the air," Ferdinand is here to remind us that some songs simply don't age. If anything, they deepen.

Rich, majestic, and beautifully layered, Summer, Roses and Wine is a happy piece of music - by which I mean it radiates light, joy, and warmth. It puts a smile on the listener's face, and just makes one feel a little bit better all round - even if you can’t quite pinpoint why.

Originally written by Ferdinand, Antje Sommerfeld, Holger Quak, and Alan Vukelic, Summer, Roses and Wine carries the unmistakable mark of collaboration done right. Once again, FERDINAND RENNIE's vocals steal the show, and if you’re still not convinced of his talents by now, I’m not sure what more the man has to do! Superb stuff!
