Fore Fader Float Back with Lush and Deeply Hypnotic New Single All I Ever
Fore Fader are one of those special acts that feel more like an old friend than simply another musical duo. Even if you haven't heard from them in a while, they're always there for you.
The Los Angeles-based pair of Stephanie Carlin and Carey Clayton are the brains behind the outfit, and I've been proudly following their sonic journey since 2023. From The Rains to Firestarter and everything in between, the duo's lush and hypnotic soundscapes turn every track into a cinematic statement.
All I Ever is Fore Fader's brand new offering, and to say they've delivered the goods again would be putting it mildly. A dreamy, expansive, and utterly mesmerising piece of music, the three-minute single is a swirling blend of ambient textures and delicate percussion work. Think Sade meets Radiohead: smooth, unguarded, honest, and deeply impactful.
As for the meaning behind their latest release, Fore Fader mention that All I Ever is a love story with the self, and a reverent breath in the middle of modern chaos. "We keep chasing satisfaction through egoic pursuits," says Stephanie. "But sometimes it just shows up, unannounced and perfect".
Serving as the lead single from the pair's forthcoming album, Great Pretender, All I Ever sets the scene for an immersive and irresistible record. Yup, I simply cannot wait to hear it!
