Get Back My Way Captures Eddie Cohn at His Most Earthy and Heartfelt

Eddie Cohn was one of my favourite musical discoveries of last year, so let's not beat around the bush - I'm a big fan! A Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter who's less interested in "finding his genre" and more attuned to going where the music takes him, there's an authenticity to his work that I'll never tire of.

Get Back My Way is Eddie's latest offering, released just a few hours ago. Inspired by his namesake, Eddie Vedder, and particularly his Into the Wild soundtrack, it's a (mostly) stripped-back and earthy piece of music. You feel the open road depicted on the single's cover, and taste the freedom in every note of the artist's vocals.

It's a masterclass in sincerity and heartfelt expression, really, and I'm unsurprised the tune is resonating so profoundly - after all, it is Eddie behind the mic.

Reflecting on the meaning behind his new song, Cohn says that it's "really about embracing all the things that make us feel like we're at our best. Getting back to the basics and to the root of who we are."

Ageing like a fine wine, Eddie Cohn continues to prove why he’s one of the most honest and compelling voices in indie music today.
