JB Elwood Scores Another Gem with Soaring New Single Caught Up In You

One of my favourite discoveries of 2025 so far has been the sonic work of Texas-based singer/songwriter JB Elwood. First, it was his infectious little gem, Right Here, and then he hit me with a cinematic and deeply personal offering called Visiting Hours. 

Certain that I'd stumbled upon a storyteller with range and soul, I eagerly awaited hearing from JB again. Thankfully, last Friday, he dropped another absolute beauty in the form of Caught Up In You. Let's dive in, shall we?

A rich and soul-stirring tune that blends soaring atmospheres with Elwood's signature storytelling ability, Caught Up In You lands somewhere between Coldplay's slow-burning anthems and John Mayer's melodic finesse. It's expertly produced (thanks to Andrew Middleton) and builds itself up with the kind of emotional precision only true songwriters can conjure up.

Reflecting on the meaning behind his latest single, JB says that Caught Up In You is about "that rare kind of night - the kind that changes you". Describing it as "a love story told in motion, where the car becomes a vessel for emotional connection, and intimacy grows with every mile," JB Elwood has, once again, crafted a track that feels like a companion to life's highs and lows.
