Completely improvised and recorded in one take, every piece on the record finds the beauty in spontaneity. They're living, breathing organisms…never to be played quite the same way ever again.
Coming to Terms sets the scene exquisitely with a gentle, fragile aura, before Unraveling steps in and reveals the full scope and finesse of Kenney’s talents. It's a haunting and utterly captivating piece, and effortlessly leads into the evocative and stirring sounds of Majestic Uncertainty.
Other personal favourites included Ascension, The Aftermath of Destruction, and the album's closer, Resolution. If you know me, however, you'll know that my recommendation would be to absorb The Improvised Cinematic Piano Sessions from start to finish. It is more than worthy of your time!
