Made Up Construct Marks a Bold Turning Point for Matt Law’s Indie Rock Sound

OK, I realise that the following tune hasn't even been out a week, but it’s made such a strong impression on me that it’s already making a very serious push for one of my favourite tracks of the year. Hear me out.

Made Up Construct is the latest single courtesy of Matt Law, a Scottish singer/songwriter who is quickly becoming known for his blend of infectious rock energy and sharp melodic instincts. The song is a significant milestone in Matt's artistic journey, as it marks the first time he's recorded alongside his full band, and I think it's fair to say: this feels like a pivotal moment.

Inspired by acts like The Strokes, Radiohead, and Green Day, Matt Law's new offering is the kind of indie rock anthem that immediately gets under your skin. Bursting with colour and strutting with swagger, the combination of snappy riffs, soaring melodies, and Matt's Julian Casablancas-esque vocals creates a warm, nostalgia-laced listen. 

As for the meaning behind Made Up Construct, Matt points out that the track is about nothing and everything. "It's about how we connect meaning with everything, like it's always about us," he says.

I'm hopeful this is the sound of Matt Law fully stepping into his next sonic chapter, because honestly, if Made Up Construct is the starting point, the road ahead could be something extremely special! Superb stuff!
