Mister Chorister Gives His Sound a Darker Edge on Latest Single You're Not Listening

Launching us into the weekend is a cracking piece of alternative rock called You're Not Listening. Courtesy of Australian-born, London-based singer/songwriter Christopher Scott Brammer, better known as Mister Chorister, the gritty little number is tense and emotionally charged. It explores fear, grief, and emotional suppression - and its brooding sonic architecture matches those themes perfectly.

Built around a driving rock rhythm, atmospheric production, and grunge-infused guitars, You're Not Listening packs a serious punch. That said, the melodic pop-rock sensibility that runs through the track always keeps things accessible. 

"The song isn't ultimately about blaming another person," explains Christopher, touching on the deeper meaning behind the tune. "It explores the voices we ignore within ourselves, and the courage required to acknowledge them."

With Billy Crabbe handling production, mixing, and mastering, and the talented Chris Castellitto behind the drums, Mister Chorister's third official offering leans into darker sonic territories than its predecessors, Brave and Spark. I find that particularly exciting. Give me an artist who's experimenting with their sound and pushing it in unexpected directions, and I'm all ears!

Bold, inventive, and expertly stitched together, You're Not Listening suggests Mister Chorister has plenty more up his sleeve! Needless to say, I'll be keeping tabs on what comes next!
