I knew I'd come across TaniA Kyllikki before. But, to be completely honest, I had to dig rather deep into my archives to find out when. Turns out it was around two and a half years ago - when a tender love ballad called I Struck Gold with You came across my proverbial desk.

Now…cards on the table…I’m embarrassed to admit I somehow let the Berkshire-based singer/songwriter slip off my radar after that. So, when HUMAN found its way to me, I wasn't about to make the same mistake twice. 

As the artist's brand new single, HUMAN has been labelled a techno-house soul hybrid. And the answer to your question is yes, it's every bit as intriguing and unique as that description suggests. Through pulsating rhythms and atmospheric textures (created and produced by Garry D. Hairston), the track builds a rich electronic foundation for TaniA's gospel-infused vocals to shine through.

Believing that she'd completed her forthcoming EP FREE-SPIRITED, TaniA had no plans to record another song for it. But that all changed with a Facebook post. Affected by the hostility and division all around her, she felt compelled to put her thoughts into words - and before long, HUMAN was born!
