Piano-Led Emotion and Full-Bodied Instrumentation Define Every Other Weekend’s Resolution

In February this year, I came across a truly special little tune called Memories. Courtesy of London-based singer/songwriter Chris Bull, AKA Every Other Weekend, it was a track I proudly labelled as "the sound of a musician figuring things out."

Constantly returning to the song, I found myself eagerly awaiting to hear where Chris would take things next - and thankfully, he hasn't made us wait too long. Introducing Resolution!

A tune that Chris says he tried not to overthink, Resolution begins with a beautiful piano melody before being joined by punchy drums and a smooth electric guitar. The artist then makes his vocal introduction: rich, thick, and effortlessly emotive, it adds real weight and depth to proceedings.

Sparse lyrics allow every piece of the track to breathe and unfold in its own time, and Chris admits to keeping them deliberately uncomplicated. "I think I was just trying to convey a feeling rather than any particular message or story," he says.

A song that will join Memories on Every Other Weekend's forthcoming debut album, All Present and Inept, Resolution reveals another wonderful side of Chris Bull's artistry. And, while it's still early days, I get the sense we'll be hearing his name more and more in the future!
