ReeToxA Reveal a Vulnerable Side on Tender New Single Love Keeps Burning Still
You may recall a tune we recently featured called War Killer, courtesy of the Melbourne-based outfit ReeToxA. It was a fierce and fiery little number inspired by Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un's historic summit - and that was all it took to send me deep down the ReeToxA rabbit hole.
Now, for those unfamiliar, a world of sonic treasures awaits you. Today, however, it's the band's latest single, Love Keeps Burning Still, that I have the pleasure of introducing you to. Let's dive in!
A track that couldn't be more different to its predecessor in every way imaginable, ReeToxA's new release is a tender and heartfelt ballad that examines frontman Jason McKee's divorce. A haunting piano motif sets the tone for what's to come, before stirring strings and Jason's vulnerable vocals make their introduction.
Accompanying Jason on vocals is Jessica McPherson-Riley, a stalwart of the Aussie music scene. Her presence brings a graceful warmth to the arrangement - and elevates the song to even greater heights of emotional intensity.
Turning heartbreak into something truly beautiful, Jason and ReeToxA have crafted a tune that, although worlds away from War Killer, hits just as hard. That's not an easy thing to pull off, and it showcases just how versatile and talented this act really is!
