Pressure on the Curb: Handles Tdnb’s Versatile EP Pushes Boundaries and Breaks Moulds

Released last Friday, Pressure on the Curb is a four-track EP that was essentially the soundtrack to my entire weekend. Courtesy of West London-based rapper Handles Tdnb, the gritty and cinematic offering is described as "an unfiltered look at the beauty and brutality of life in motion". Inspired by the rapper's self-made journey through West London's unforgiving underbelly, to battling thirty MCs in New York and topping iTunes Charts, Pressure on the Curb is raw, unflinching, and boldly defiant.

The Style of Life gets things underway and perfectly sets the tone for what's to come. Gritty, hard-hitting, and deeply immersive, it draws you into Handles' sonic orbit bar by bar, before the listener is pushed into the edgy and potent world of Handles Flow 2.

1s & 0s is arguably the most "mainstream" track on the EP with its silky beat and atmospheric keys. It's also proof of the rapper's versatility - unconfined and confident regardless of tempo, tone, or texture.

Tokyo Drift completes Pressure on the Curb, and this one's for you to dive into for yourself. No map. No spoilers. Just you and Handles Tdnb, one of the most impressive artists I've come across in some time!
