Scott Yoder Crafts a Moody and Immersive Soundscape on New Single Never Be Another Day
As he gears up to release his fifth album, Lover, Let Me In, Seattle-based artist and self-described aloof wanderer Scott Yoder offers the world a tantalising glimpse of what’s to come. Titled Never Be Another Day, Scott's brand new single is an artful piece of synth-soaked magic.
Deliciously moody and highly immersive, the introspective tune washes over you like a warm breeze, brushing softly against your senses as it goes on its merry way. Masterfully layered and stitched together, it's a track I find myself falling extremely hard for.
"Never Be Another Day is about that kind of intoxicating infatuation and how that can be a very fleeting feeling," says the musician. "Because, if you don't act on it, it's a tragedy".
Rather unbelievably, Yoder's latest release was recorded in his tiny loft bedroom. Tucked away with only a pack of feral cats for company, it's here where the artist has conjured up a ten-track album he says is about "trying to connect with people in ways I can't through words". Out on September 5th, it's a record that promises to be pretty special, and I cannot wait to hear it in full.
