A Supernatural Seduction, Set to a Bluesy Roar: Discover Rosetta West’s Dora Lee (Gravity)

It's not often that a band release a music video before releasing the actual tune, but not much surprises me anymore when it comes to those Illinois-based blues-rockers Rosetta West. Beginning to become a familiar (and hugely welcome) face around these parts, the outfit's raw and fiery sound has crept into my regular rotation, one gritty and gloriously distorted track at a time.

Dora Lee (Gravity) is Rosetta West's brand new offering, and as mentioned, it comes in audiovisual format. Casting the narrator in the role of a military commander who's smitten by supernatural female visitors, including goddesses like Ishtar, Hecate, and Kali, the act's latest release blends hard bluesy rock with ancient grandeur.

"I think this new video from the upcoming Gravity Sessions is very exciting and intellectually stimulating," says the band's founder and songwriter, Joseph Demagore. "The lyrics tell the tale of a man haunted by a brief visitation by a supernatural lover".

Always entertaining and seldom predictable, Rosetta West's loud and biting sound is one I'll never tire of hearing. And yes, you know it, I can't wait to hear the Gravity Sessions!
