Slip Into the Soft and Hazy Glow of Wotts’ New Single Better Days
Very few acts deliver with the same clockwork brilliance as Wotts. Consistently delivering hit after hit, the Canadian indie pop duo continue to effortlessly grow their dreamy and hypnotic discography, one delectable tune at a time.
Consisting of producer and vocalist Jayem and bassist and guitarist Ricky 100, I've been honoured to champion Wotts' hazy and infectious sound for the best part of two years. And so, without further ado, let me introduce you to Better Days.
Serving as the second single from the pair's forthcoming EP FLANK!, Better Days is a lush and mellow offering. It's a track you can melt into…soft and gooey and full of warmth.
Diving into the spacious, psychedelic pop waters of acts like Tame Impala and Gorillaz, it's another stunning showcase of just what this talented twosome is all about.
Reflecting on the song's mood and emotional intent, Jayem said that he "wanted it to feel like a soundtrack to a summer night when stuff feels a bit heavy and all you can do is hope for the best".
Trying to capture just how much I love this duo is getting harder and harder. Luckily, their music keeps doing all the talking!
