The Heart’s Knot Is Downtempo Alchemy from Minneapolis Producer KB-S

The Heart's Knot is, without question, one of the most hypnotic and intriguing tunes I've come across this year. Courtesy of a Minneapolis-based producer known simply as KB-S, the orchestral piece of lo-fi craftsmanship is meticulously sculpted and pieced together.

It builds slowly, gently easing the listener in, before wrapping around you like a warm sonic blanket you didn't know you needed. Cinematic, downtempo, and utterly immersive, it's the kind of track that makes you stop, breathe, and feel something you thought you'd already buried.

"The Heart's Knot came from a place of emotional unravelling," admits the artist. "It's the sound of holding on too tightly to something that might already be gone…and you just don't realize it".

A song that KB-S says is part of a broader sonic journey, The Heart's Knot is anything but trend-chasing or passive background music. Yes, it can undoubtedly stand on its own two feet, but it also threads into the larger narrative of the musician's discography.

A work of art from beginning to end, The Heart's Knot is the perfect introduction to the weekend. Putting the listener into something of a trance, it's a tune I know I'll be returning to again and again.
