The New Citizen Kane Kicks Off His Next Chapter with Infectious Earworm INTERtwine
If you're not aboard The New Citizen Kane train by now, I'm afraid to say, there may be no hope for you. As the creative outlet of Kane Michael Luke, a London-based pop artist, The New Citizen Kane has quickly established itself as one of my favourite projects to emerge over the last twelve months. From PSYCHEDELIKA Pt. 1 to FREE to feel and everything in between, I've watched Kane consistently push his sound in new and exciting directions.
All of the above brings me to INTERtwine, the brand new release from The New Citizen Kane. A perfect showcase of Kane's sonic identity, which he defines as “rhythm and synth," INTERtwine is one of the most instantly addictive earworms I've heard all year. There's a carefree, almost playful charm coursing through the tune's veins, and an irresistible groove at its core that makes it oh-so-easy to get lost in.
Imagining a world where people actually interacted with one another - away from the screens - Kane explains that INTERtwine serves as "an invite to listeners to disconnect from the digital world and return to searching for connection in the real world."
As the lead single to what will eventually become PSYCHEDELIKA Pt. 2, INTERtwine is another special addition to The New Citizen Kane discography. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: we're dealing with a musician who's not only prolific, but consistently outstanding!
