With Blossom, Chloe Dunn Finds Her Sound - and Invites Us Into Her Sonic Sanctuary

Born in England and now based in France, Chloe Dunn is a violinist and composer who was born to play music. Raised in a family of musicians, it's rumoured that Chloe has been pushing the violin far beyond its traditional boundaries since the age of seven. And, once you hear her latest EP, Blossom, you won’t question that for a second.

A six-track offering of ethereal and spacious compositions, Blossom is an intimate and ambient delight. Defying categorisation, it's a record that geniusly stands out from the crowd, and showcases a musician who has found the sound she's been after.

"This EP represents the blossoming of my own musical style," says Chloe. "I discovered my voice working with loops and effects…my pedals became my paintbrushes, letting me add colour and intensity to my musical expression."

Bountiful, Blissful begins proceedings gently, easing the listener in with care, before the hauntingly beautiful and immersive sounds of Your Home come into play.

An Angel then introduces itself, and it's at this point that you really begin to appreciate Chloe's vocal ability. It's heavenly and transcendent.

Take Me Back, Chloe's take on Amazing Grace, and Cherry Blossom complete the EP, and they're three tunes I want you to experience without spoilers. All I'll say is this - Chloe Dunn is a sonic visionary.
