Antoin Gibson Delivers Again on Dark and Seductive New Single Venom-Laced Tears

London-based artist and Circum-Sŏnus founder, Antoin Gibson, was one of my standout performers last year. Tunes like Diss Qualification, Cirque du Sŏnus, and Dead End each lived within me for a period of time. They also showcased the versatility and range of Antoin's artistry - and it was that creative intrigue that kept me coming back for more.

Venom-Laced Tears is the latest single from the musician, and it quickly reveals a sharp and deliberate sonic shift compared to its predecessor, Dead End. 

Continuing Antoin's ever-evolving dark-pop aesthetic, it's a tense, seductive, and seriously hypnotic piece of music. Through restrained dynamics, an atmospheric production, and Antoin's chilling vocal performance, the track slowly draws the listener into its shadowy world, before taking complete control.

Exploring the moment when awareness hardens into power, Venom-Laced Tears is packed with symbolic imagery, all functioning as metaphors for self-recognition, desire, and control. And that's the thing with Antoin's work…you never feel like you're simply just listening to another song. There's always something deeper at play.

Finding myself running out of superlatives to describe what a special artist Antoin Gibson is, all I can say is this - if they keep this momentum going, they won’t be flying under the radar for much longer!
