Beyond Signal Teases His Next Album with Ambitious EP The Crescent Is Coming (Lunarfreedom)

Based in Sheffield, Beyond Signal is an artist who describes himself as a "lone wolf in search of existential authenticity and transcendental creativity." Having recently spent time with his debut album, Gaia Algorithmica, and its follow-up single The Answers, I've discovered a musician who genuinely lives up to that ethos. Weaving deep existential themes into his largely melancholic soundscapes, he draws you into a shadowy, cinematic realm that is far too hypnotic to ignore.

The Crescent Is Coming (Lunarfreedom) is Beyond Signal's brand new offering, a six-track EP that sets the stage for his upcoming sophomore album. A tasty and ambitious sample of what to expect, The flame with no name kicks things off with a gritty guitar and haunting, mysterious synths.

34 Seconds (Cyborg song) then steps up to the plate and leans even deeper into that dark, bass-heavy, post-punk sound. At this stage, you're fully stuck in Beyond Signal’s sonic web, and the striking, immersive gem that is Rhyme or reason ensures you stay right there.

Warning Crescent (Lunar flame), The Woman of 501, and Tobacco kiss complete the EP, and they're three tunes I'd like you to discover for yourself. All I'll say is this: if the first half caught your attention, you're going to fall in love with the remainder too!
